Any girl who goes into the Forbidden Forest never comes out again. Except the one who did.

Larkin should have been watching her little sister. Should have paid more attention to the trees looming over her family’s fields. Now Sela is gone. Knowing full well the danger of the forest and its beast, Larkin goes after her anyway. With her sister clutched in her arms, she manages to escape, but not before discovering the truth lurking beneath the wicked boughs.

She may have evaded the beast once, but with the full force of his magic now fixated on her, she isn’t sure how much longer she can resist . . .

Amber ArgyleAbout the Author:
Bestselling author Amber Argyle writes young-adult fantasies where the main characters save the world (with varying degrees of success) and fall in love (with the enemy). Her award-winning books have been translated into numerous languages and praised by such authors as NYT bestsellers David Farland and Jennifer A. Nielsen.

Amber grew up on a cattle ranch and spent her formative years in the rodeo circuit and on the basketball court. She graduated cum laude from Utah State University with a degree in English and physical education, a husband, and a two-year-old. Since then, she and her husband have added two more children, which they are actively trying to transform from crazy small people into less-crazy larger people. She’s fluent in all forms of sarcasm, loves hiking and traveling, and believes spiders should be relegated to horror novels where they belong.

As an author, I always get great pleasure out of reading other peoples work and seeing new releases come out. I was recently contacted about an upcoming release I feel compelled to share. Written by melskubich and Stevie Conradi, the book is called Murder, Mayhem and Magic. I’ll post the synopsis and release date below, but what fascinated me about the project was that it’s a part of a collection called Rock and Roll Saved My Soul, and all proceeds will go to the UK Bipolar foundation, a cause I’m super passionate about and eager to bring attention to. So please check out the information on the book below and help support this great cause and incredible book by two awesome authors!

Synopsis: “When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.” – Sherlock Holmes.

But
what if the truth is not only improbable, but otherworldly? Meet
Alistair Gordon and Jerome Garibaldi, two Victorian gentlemen and
part-time sleuths. Not only do they follow in the footsteps of the
greatest detective who never lived, they meet more than they bargained
for when a case of magic goes horribly wrong.

Accompany them on a
journey through several Victorian murder mysteries, from a marriage
that was not meant to be to a match celebrated with rose-petals. Join
Alistair as his investigations lead him to opium dens and follow Jerome
turn his life around as he stops being a blackmailing lay-about and
becomes lover, lodger and layman detective.

Walk with us through
foggy alleyways where hansom cabs and Ladies that are not paint a
picture of Victorian London in six illustrated stories of murder, mayhem
and magic.
